About Our ClubThe objective of the Combined Probus Club of North Oakville (CPCNO) is to provide regular meetings and activities for “RETIRED AND SEMI-RETIRED” people who can come together in a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit environment to meet others in similar circumstances, to make new friends, and enjoy the camaraderie of similar people in a social environment. Our Club operates and is managed with only our volunteer members, consisting of a management team which occupy these positions for a period of two years, with staggered turnover annually. As you complete your Member or Applicant Profile it is important you consider which of these Management/Committee positions you would be willing to volunteer for. Just for your information following is a thumbnail sketch of each position. Later in the application you will have an opportunity to indicate your preference. VICE PRESIDENT/PRESIDENT – the member would first accept the Vice President position then the following year would become President, and then Past President. These are positions of Management/Leadership for the Management team AND our Probus Club in general. ACTIVITIES CHAIR – this position leads and work with a small group seeking out and organizing activities for our Probus Club in general. MEMBERSHIP CHAIR – this position maintains all our Probus Club membership information and ensures records are accurate and current. SECRETARY – this position records and maintains all records/motions/archives for our Probus Club. SPEAKER CHAIR – this position seeks out and obtains guest speakers for our Probus Club monthly meetings. TREASURER – this position maintains/pays/reconciles all financial aspects for our Probus Club. SOCIAL CHAIR – undertakes, organizes, our Probus Clubs’ special events such as the Xmas Lunch, June Social Lunch; Entertainment, etc. WEBMASTER – Maintains our Probus Club’s Mgmt. Info. System (Wild Apricot) and is the technical liaison to Management and Members CLUB INTEREST GROUP LEADERSHIP – organizes/leads/manages individual activities i.e. Euchre, Bridge, Bowling, Games, Luncheons, etc. ACTIVITIES/SOCIAL COMMITTEE MEMBER – becomes an active member of the Activities Committee or Social Committee assisting the respective chairpersons. PATTER EDITOR - produces and distributes monthly publication of the Club's news and activities. SPECIAL PROJECTS – as specific requirements/circumstances/situations develop ANY OF THE MANAGEMENT/COMMITTEE/INTEREST GROUP/ACTIVITY/SPECIAL EVENT POSITIONS LISTED ABOVE |
New Membership Application Process If you reside in Oakville, you can apply for membership in the Combined Probus Club of North Oakville by filling in the application form below. If you reside in Burlington or Mississauga your application will be considered if our Club's active membership is below our cap of 225 members. During special promotions, the application form will include the Enter discount code field. If this field is present on the application form then enter the text NEWAPPLICATION to have a one-time special promotional discount applied to your initial membership fees.
Once you have filled in the online application form you will be presented an option to “Invoice Me” or “Pay Online”.
Please select the Invoice Me option to have an invoice sent to your email address.
** PLEASE DO NOT PAY YOUR FEES AT THIS TIME OR PAY YOUR INVOICE WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT. **
Your application will be reviewed by the Membership Chair.
Once your application has been approved, the Membership Chair will then advise you to proceed and pay your initial Membership Fees invoice.
