Join The Oakville Historical Society on Wednesday, September 16, at 10 a.m. for a tour of Old Main Street in Oakville. This guided tour covers the original business section of the town which, in the 1830's, extended from Sixteen Mile Creek to Trafalgar Road. From that point eastward to Allan Street, the area was mainly residential until the 1950's.

This tour starts on the south west corner of Lakeshore Road and Navy Street. The tour will proceed if it’s raining. If thunder is heard, it will be cancelled. The tour is approximately two hours long. Lunch is confirmed at Beertown, 271 Cornwall Road, Oakville, will follow our walk—self pay.
